About Simulation Technologies

Simulation Technologies Ltd creates bespoke engineering simulation applications known as SIMApps, wrapping decades of simulation expertise and powerful underlying simulation technology into simplified user friendly web apps.

The Brief

The challenge for Greenlight Web was to create a brand identity and logo styling that was simple, bright and reflected the app’s powerful analysing capabilities when measuring flow and stress factors that together define the performance characteristics of a product or process within any given working environment.

Our Approach

We worked with the client to understand the SIMApp processes and application areas to help define the brief, this then enabled us to make appropriate design choices throughout the brand creation process.

  • Produce a series of additional marketing solutions, digital and in print

Our Solution

Branding and Logo Development

The client has a portfolio of three major simulation web applications, each colour coded to define various application areas. With more apps in the pipeline, the logo colour palette will expand to incorporate further options, all wrapped around the same core graphical shapes. We focused on the app names, using the initial capital letters to aid simple identification of each app solution. We further added simple shapes and bright colours to help define the working environments associated to each application.

Digital Marketing

Greenlight Web create engaging email campaigns that get results and look great across all devices, each e-shot is distributed with a call to action enabling recipients to respond as appropriate. Direct links take interested parties to find out more. Analytics are monitored to gauge engagement per individual message send and ultimately, the performance of the overall campaign.
Digital literature was developed to further promote the benefits of using the client’s simulation web app solutions, incorporating clickable links to take interested parties back to key information within the website. Call to actions link directly to enquiry forms enabling clients to respond quickly to any potential sales enquiries.

Following design and client approval, we developed a WordPress website that not only loads quickly and looks great, but is reliable, secure and offers visitors access to key content that enlightens and informs around the benefits of using Simulation Technologies ‘SIMApps’ web applications to run complex simulation studies. Key for the client was to turn any potential interest into genuine inquiries.
To create content we interviewed key people within the business to define the proposition, creating words and images with UX at the heart of our design decision making process.
We adopt a ‘mobile first’ approach to website build and optimise content to ensure that our sites perform at a consistently high level across all browsers and devices. We undertake rigorous testing and ongoing maintenance checks to maintain a high level of performance.
