About Marren Interiors

Marren Interiors are a high-end Interior Design company who specialise in show home design while also working with a breadth of private and commercial clients. For the last 30 years, Marren Interiors have provided an agile, bespoke design solution with over 18,000 show homes designed, 54,000 items of furniture installed and over 70,000 light bulbs supplied!

The challenge was to create Marren a website that reflected their brand. Their existing site was very outdated and did not inspire the user as an interior design website should. The goal of the new website was to showcase their work, with professional photography the key focus, and secure new leads off a projection of the quality of their brand and the quality of their work.

The Greenlight approach

Our first objective for the design of the website was to work with the colour palette, photography and key statements to deliver a clean and concise home page which would be striking on first glance. Imagery and graphics would do the talking so words would be kept to a minimum and used in a balanced way to ensure they complimented the photography.

  • Design image heavy banners with minimal text; ensuring key statements were delivered.
  • Work with photography to deliver clear drivers to the different products Marren offer.
  • Create colour scheme to deliver brand identity throughout the website.

Website Design
We had a clear vision for the website. The new site needed to look modern, clean and reflect the ‘quality’ aspect of the brand. Interior Design is a competitive market place and a Google search will display endless amounts of results so the key is to deliver the message on the first page load and let the imagery & brand speak for itself. We feel that if we achieve this we will convince the user to scroll down and engage with the website.

Marren have four core services:

  • Showhome Design Specialists
  • Heritage Conversions
  • Specification & Space Planning
  • Window Dressings & Soft Furnishings

These four products should be obvious throughout the website and made clear on the home page – this ensures their core services are always clear to see which in turn improves the user journey and drives conversion. We decided to use their extensive photography catalogue to choose an image which best fit each service which will act as the ‘brand image’ for that service – this then runs continuously through the site.

For the development of the website we have used WordPress as per the clients request – they were keen to be able to add and edit content themselves which we were happy to facilitate with login credentials and a training course.
